Parent Orientation Meetings

 7th – 12th Grade
Thursday, August 23      6:00 p.m.

PS2, PS3, & K4 *
Tuesday, August 28       6:00 p.m.

K5-6th Grade*
Thursday, August 30     6:00 p.m.

Because this is a time for parents and teachers only, do not bring students or younger children to these meetings.  After the general session, you will go to the classrooms or smaller sessions to meet with the teachers to acquaint yourself with classroom procedures.  At least one parent or designated representative of each student enrolled is expected to be at orientation.     * take note that preschool-elementary orientation meetings are after school starts

Meet Your Teacher
PK2 – 6th Grade Only
Friday, August 24  | 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

This is a time for students to meet and visit with their teachers.  Class lists will be posted outside each classroom.  Students and parents are to go directly to the classroom.  K5 will meet in the classroom for a meeting at 9:00 a.m.

Student Orientation
7th – 12th Grade Only
Friday, Aug. 24  | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

For students to receive their schedules, they must bring $2.00 for lock/locker fee.  7th – 12th grade students must turn in their SLi forms to Mrs. Klein and 9th – 12th grade students must turn in their Pastor Recommendation Form to the office.  If the Pastor Recommendation Form is not in the office by the first day of school, the student will not be permitted into the classroom.

T-shirt Orders and P.E. Clothes

All preschool/elementary students who ordered t-shirts by July 19 will receive them at “Meet Your Teacher” on Friday, August 24.  All 7th – 12th grade students who ordered t-shirts and P.E. clothes by July 19 will receive them at parent orientation on Thursday, August 24.  Remember, K4 – 12th grade students had mandatory shirts to purchase.  Forms will be available for a second order that will come in the last of September.

Announcements & Reminders

Our CCS website is under construction.  Please check our website often for announcements and reminders.

Mandatory Sports Meeting – Thurs. August 16 @7:30p.m. at CCS

All parents or a parent representative of students participating in any sports at CCS must attend this meeting.

(Some sports start at 5th grade)  A coaches meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. on the same day.


PS2-12th handbooks will be available on the school website at  However, state licensing requires all PS2, PS3 & K4 parents to sign for a school handbook.  Pick these up during parent orientation.  Also, we would like all K5-12th parents to pick up a hard copy of the handbook at “Parent Orientation”.

Tuition Payments

Check your online account under the online payment button on the school website.  Any questions about your account, contact Gaye Cormier at ext. 103.

PS2-K4 – you have already made or should make your August payment to the school office by August 1.

K5-12th – you should have already made or you must make your June, July, and August payments by August 1.

All accounts must be up to date by August 1.  If not, the student will be removed from the class roster.

For All Parents     

  • The school communicates with parents by e-mail.  If you have updated your e-mail or recently set a new account, please let the school office know at
  • RenWeb link can be accessed on the school website page.
  • The school menu and calendar will be available on our website by August 10
  • School supply lists for 7th-12th are available in the school office, Walmart, and the CCS web site
  • Summer letters & updated appearance codes are posted on the website.

Parents of PS2, PS3 & K4

  • In addition to your school supply fee you will need the following:  tri-fold plastic mat, king-size pillowcase for mat, bath towel or small nap blanket, small travel size pillow, box of wipes small-soft sleep toy (if  needed),  change of clothes in labeled plastic bag (diapers & sippy cups for PS2 students).
  • All parents must sign an acknowledgement of receiving the preschool handbook.  This will be available at the parent orientation.

High School Parents

  • All 7th-12th grade students must enter from the Sikes Road entrance unless being dropped off with younger children.
  • Administration must be contacted prior to a student’s enrollment in correspondence, homeschool, summer school, or night school courses.
  • In order to start school on Monday, August 27 students must have the Pastor Recommendation Form turned in by Friday, August 24.   Forms are available in the school office. Our fax number is 409-883-8855.
  • 4 year plans are enclosed for grades 9th-12th

Additional Needs

  • Parents interested in being a chaperone for field trips must go through chaperone training and a criminal background check.  Chaperone training is Thursday, September 13 at 10:00.
  • Substitute teacher training is Thursday, September 13, @ 9:00 a.m.  Contact the school office if you are interested.
  • Very Urgent Need:  Looking for a way to help? We need people to help with morning traffic duty (7:30-8:00).  Sign up with Mrs. Morris in the school office.
